The FAÇADES towards the already existing streets, more solid and characterised by walls, rebuild the outlook of the streets. Towards the INTERNAL PEDESTRIAN SPACES, instead, the façades are transparent and light. The interior of the building shows itself and becomes part of the community’s life. The GEOMETRY of the INCLINED BUILDING PROFILES creates a perspective sequence that grows in height southwards and towards viale Ortles. The internal public pedestrian spaces, designed in a coordinated fashion on the whole intervention, offer resting places, connects the various services and allows some moments during free time. The NON PERPENDICULAR PLACEMENT of the buildings, in conjunction with slightly twisted architectural shapes, give to the whole architectural composition a complexity aimed at transmitting a lived-in urban stratification. The architectural design thus recreates the history of the exchanges that gives life to a city, synthesizing in a new way its harmonies and disharmonies.

OPERATION FLOOR LAYOUT

The office layout of the SYMBIOSIS area have been carefully studied both from an architectural and a technical appliances systems point of view in order to guarantee the maximum of flexibility to match the end users’ needs by reducing the space need per workstation, and, consequently the fit out and reconfiguration costs. The façade modules size, floating floors, ceilings and technical appliance distribution are all designed in order to match the high standards requested by any end user, allowing, at the same time, a high level of space flexibility to cater for future different needs.
